We aim to meet the needs of our residents by providing them with the highest level of Relationship Centred Care Services. Our holistic approach ensures that individualsied care plans are formulated in conjunction with each resident and or their representative as appropriate.
We appreciate that your loved one may need differing levels of care at different times in life. With this in mind we adopt a flexible service that meets the needs of you or your family member.
We understand that moving into a care home is a big decision undertaken for many reasons. Some people may be physically frail and no longer able to remain at home for safety reasons. Other people may feel isolated and lonely and want to move into a community to make new friends and feel secure.
Our focus on personally tailored care services enables us to support residents to maintain their independence, feel truly at home and live a full life, whatever their needs.
Whether it’s a friendly face, a warm smile or taking time to listen, making a positive difference to someone’s day is what makes our world go round.
Long Term Care
Long Term Care is offered to people who may experience difficulty in looking after themselves or have decided that they would prefer to live in a community for company and support.
Dementia / Alzheimers Care
A diagnosis of dementia brings with it a very difficult and confusing time for the individual and their loved ones, and it is only natural to feel anxious about moving somewhere new. At Padre Pio House we ensure that the transition into our care is carefully assessed and managed in order to minimise upset to all concerned.
Residents who are experiencing memory loss benefit from our enlightened approach to dementia care, which stimulates, supports and comforts in a safe and homely environment.
Our Director of Cares’ background is in Oncology Nursing. Our team liaises with Marymount Hospice who provide essential service, support and guidance to those residents requiring palliative care.
Respite Care / Convalescent Care
We offer a range of short term respite care for people that do not require long stay or permanent admission to a nursing home. Our respite care service provides temporary relief to caregivers but depends on availability.
Care needs will be discussed with you or the appropriate persons prior to admission and an assessment will be conducted before a care plan is agreed with you. Our Post Operative Care Programme assists individuals with recuperation and recovery after surgery, or serious illness.
Fair Deal Funding and Downloads
We help all our residents and family understand what is available to them under the Nursing Homes Support Scheme, better known as ‘Fair Deal Funding’. Under the Scheme, you will make a contribution towards the cost of your care and the State will pay the balance.
This applies whether the nursing home is public, private or voluntary.
